Luckily, you don't 'need' Zen for anything outside VIP. So for all intents and purposes, you can only get Zen through paying for it. The ZAX currently has a backlog so it can take the better part of a year to get Zen this way. You can acquire it only two ways: through the Zen-Astral Diamond Exchange (ZAX) or by spending real world money. Zen is the premium currency of Neverwinter. I will talk about earning rough astral diamonds later. You can turn 100,000 RAD into AD every day, which can be done in the Riches tab. Astral diamonds comes in two forms: rough (known as RAD) and refined astral diamonds (known as AD). Astral diamonds is the currency you use to buy items from other players through the Auction House (AH). There are heaps of currency in Neverwinter, but only two really matter: Astral Diamonds and Zen. Most of this was covered in the levelling experience, but I feel it is always good to cover the basics again. Make sure you check recent ones (Mod 19+ or 2021+, and Mod 22 for enchantment guides) when looking at builds and the like. The game is in a period of reworking old systems.Keep what you can until you get your bearings again. Certain pieces of old gear are still valuable, especially anything that gives a % boost to a stat. Statistics and hard/soft caps have been completely reworked.Go to the Sage Shop near the bank to buy rank 1 enchantments. Retrieve them and go to the Antiquities Scholar at the top of Protector's Enclave to turn them in for new enchantments. Any enchantments you had equipped will be sent to your mail. Still run through these adventures to gain valuable items. All characters made before Mod 21 are now max rank. You no longer gain experience but gain levels through quests. Regardless of your position, I would still follow this guide as if you were a new player and tackle the game again. Others, especially from before Mod 16 (Undermountain) will have a lot more to work out. There are returning players from Mod 18 who were maxed out then that will have an easy time of adjusting. Actually you are referring to glitching or exploiting a bug.I'm A Returning Player, What Do I Do?Everyone is different. I am referring to exploiting a mistake in mechanics design. They are both technically exploits, just of different things. I've played lots of games for many years and this is firmly in the exploit category. I am glad I was at least capable of making you understand the problem. If it was just one guy who figured it out. we could have grand tales around the campfire of that one dastardly rogue who was making mischief. but he posted the build to the forums for everyone else to copy. There's only two reasons for this I can find valid. He was informing the Dev's in a clever way and making sure it gets nerfed soon or he didn't want to be called a hacker and used this as proof to counter it by informing others of how to do it too thereby clearing his name of using 3rd party tools to accomplish it. It needs to be fixed and your suggestion is one of the possibilities to do this. However, until such a time as this is fixed you can expect to see pvp degrade rapidly because of how many people (not just you and the other half a dozen people posting here in defense of it) are copying it. Since you agree with my theory let me remind you of where this discussion between myself and Borgued3 started: It will hit epidemic proportions in the near future mark my words. I was pleasantly minding my own business pvping away happily win some lose some and then this started. 3 rounds in a row with the same premade, 4 TR perma stealthers and a DC. They obviously either met via the match finder and kept requeing after or they were a premade. 2 GF 1 TR, 2CW team got slaughtered, so did the other 3 teams I played with against them.
